Joshua Milne is the founder of Joshua Milne PR and has worked in the PR industry for more than 25 years – the last 13 years he has run his own PR agency. He is a PR, media relations and social media specialist who has worked for clients in the following industries: small business, venture capital, business, ecommerce, online retail, B2B technology, B2C technology, non-profit, food, sports, sports business, healthcare and design.
Before founding his own business, Joshua managed national media outreach and technology outreach for Constant Contact. He developed a media relations plan to support key initiatives that promoted Constant Contact’s technology innovation and secured briefings with IDC, Forrester, Internet Retailer and InformationWeek. He also secured media placements in Investor’s Business Daily, ZDNet and The Boston Globe, to name a few.
Joshua previously worked at Elevate Communications, a public relations agency in Boston, with clients such as Fenway Sports Management, Roush Fenway Racing, Deutsche Bank Championship, Head of the Charles Regatta, the Boston Blazers and Staples Champions Cup. During his tenure there, he developed relationships with sports business press at the national, regional and local levels. Joshua managed a team that secured 723 articles and 173 interviews for Fenway Sports Management in 2007, their first year working with the sports marketing agency; 440 articles and more than 40 radio and television interviews for the Boston Blazers in their first season in 2008 and more than 200 media placements surrounding Volvo Ocean Race in Boston. Before working at Elevate Communications, Joshua was the Sports Marketing Public Relations Specialist at John Hancock Financial Services, where he managed media activities for corporate-sponsored local, national and international sports and community relations events with MLB, the Olympics, the Boston Marathon and Champions on Ice.
Earlier in his career, Joshua spent eight summers working with the public relations team at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, assisting reporters in the media center, press box and the credential office.
Julie Bakey is a content creator at Joshua Milne PR, specializing in the creation and development of PR and marketing content. She has more than 20 years of experience working with clients in a wide range of industries including technology, design, health, sports, consumer, publishing, food, and nonprofit.
Julie joined JMPR in 2014 after a career working with large organizations and small startups in agency, corporate, and nonprofit settings. At Weber Shandwick, Julie led a ten-person team supporting PR campaigns for the Enterprise Solutions Division of Hewlett-Packard Company. At Project Bread/Walk for Hunger, Julie served as Assistant Director of Communications, responsible for writing, editing, and production of all fundraising materials, as well as all promotional materials for the annual Walk for Hunger, in addition to managing press inquires and media outreach.
Julie spent eight years working as a freelancer, focusing on writing PR and marketing content for companies across a wide variety of industries, from HP Hood to Teledyne DALSA.
Julie has expertise in developing a wide variety of content to meet clients’ needs, including contributed articles, press releases, award submissions, bios, FAQs, messaging documents, talking points, pitch letters, customer stories, media advisories, and calendar listings. She has also written and edited online magazines, social media content, feature articles, brochures, and annual reports. Lisa Bell is a results-driven, team-oriented senior communications leader with over two decades of public relations, crisis communications, social media, event planning, and marketing expertise. She joined DPA as Executive Vice President in 2016. She currently oversees day-to-day work on most accounts at DPA and has a proven track record of successfully working with clients in the business, hospitality, retail, and consumer, B2B and healthcare technology industries as well as promoting events and festivals, handling media relations, social media and strategic marketing alliances for food/beverage/spirits companies, and fashion/lifestyle brands.
Prior to DPA, served as VP of Public Relations at 451 Marketing (now Zozimus), overseeing all of the PR department’s personnel and 15 accounts, including large integrated PR and marketing campaigns for The Yankee Candle Company, HP Hood and NxStage Medical.
Prior to 451, Lisa served as Senior Vice President at Regan Communications for eight years and oversaw accounts in the business, retail, non-profit and hospitality industries, including premier accounts like SIMON Malls (18 properties across New England) and New Balance.
She also worked on technology and business accounts at agencies in New York, NY including Burson- Marsteller, and began her career at Schwartz-MSL in San Francisco working with emerging growth companies in the B2B technology and pharmaceutical industries.
Lisa graduated from Fordham University with a B.A. in Communications.
